5/7 is a daily-creative-thing project, without that whole annoying “daily” part. A theme is drawn at random every Sunday, and everyone is invited to submit posts that reflect that theme five times over the next seven days.
Posts can be pretty much anything. Graphic design, sketches, bad haikus — as long as you put some thought into it, or at least can make some people laugh.
We emphasize that everything is original content — the goal of the project is to create.

A: The three founders got together over two days and wrote theme ideas on little slips of paper, and put them in a canister. The theme is drawn at random every Sunday night and posted at midnight, EST.Q: Do I really need to post 5 times a week if I want to participate?
A: It’s encouraged, but not necessary. Feel free to post once or twice a week, if that’s what you can manage!Q: Can I post work I’ve already done if it fits the theme?
A: Well…okay, we guess so. But don’t do it too often, one of the goals of the project is to create new original work!Q: Can I link back to my personal site?
A: Of course, as long as it’s tasteful and for attribution purposes.Q: Can I post links to my commercial ventures?
A: If you create something for the theme that you decide to make available for sale, then sure. However, please do not post your existing wares when they coincide with the theme. Since Five Over Seven is not for profit and promotes creativity, we’d like to keep the site as non-commercial as possible.
